Banana Moon Barnstaple is a thriving nursery looking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and motivational Assistant Deputy Manager to join our management team. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a happy nursery where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years (minimum Level 3)
  • Flexible between the hours of 7:30am / 6:00pm, 40 hours per week
  • Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Experience working in an early years setting (1-2 years)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and education for children
  • Valid DBS check

Responsibilities:

  • Support operational management of the nursery facilities and staff
  • Work closely with the Manager and Deputy Manager and have responsibility as a Room Leader whilst also being expected to take responsibility for everyday management responsibilities in the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager
