Goulton Grange Day Nursery is a privately run nursery, situated on an organically managed dairy farm, surrounded by idyllic countryside that overlooks the Cleveland Hills.

We are looking for a Baby Room Leader to join our friendly team here at Goulton Grange!

To work as an effective member of an early year’s team delivering a flexible, high quality, education and care centred service that meets the needs of the young children and their families. We are based on a farm and you will need to be able to reliably get here each day.

Requirements;

  • 40-55 hours per week
  • Hours are between 7am – 6pm
  • Monday – Friday
  • Level 2 / 3+ in Childcare
  • Previous Childcare experience (3 years) preffered – NOT essential
  • 30 minutes paid break
  • Must Drive

Duties will include:

  • To support the Management Team to ensure the highest standards of early years care and education across the setting
  • To maintain an organised, safe and stimulating room environment
  • To support and inspire your team of practitioners
  • Complete the induction of new colleagues
  • Be the senior practitioner in the room and have a sound knowledge of the nursery pedagogy, policies and procedures, lead by example and model good practice
  • Be comfortable working with children aged 0-2 years old
  • Manage the room to ensure operational compliance to the EYFS and other regulatory frameworks
  • Create and maintain a stimulating environment that reflects children’s needs and interests
  • Be the person in charge if the Manager and Deputy Manager are absent and ensure that day to day functions such as staffing, answering enquiries, and interacting with parents.

Our Room Leaders are experienced practitioners committed to developing their knowledge and skills in the field of early years education. They have proven ability in the field of early years education and are excellent team players who are able to learn from and commit to a close working relationship with their Setting Manager and their colleagues. They can take direction and are also good at supporting staff in the development of their practice. They are able to confidently lead a team of staff to ensure a high level of education and care is being delivered consistently throughout their room.
