What you will do
- Provide comprehensive dispensary services, including dispensing, checking, and distribution of medications.
- Undertake Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) duties in accordance with local and national standards.
- Support efficient ward top-up services, ensuring medicines are available when required.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the acute hospital pharmacy dispensary.
- Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional pharmacy standards.
- Assist in stock management, ordering, and medicines optimisation processes.
- Support pharmacy colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with departmental procedures.
- Provide advice and support regarding medication supply and pharmacy processes where appropriate.
- Participate in service improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician Qualification: Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant professional registration.
- ACT Accreditation: Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification is essential.
