What you will do
- Independently perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) to a high standard.
- Conduct and support advanced echo procedures, such as stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) if competent.
- Interpret complex findings, including valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, and heart failure.
- Provide clinical advice to referring clinicians based on echocardiographic findings.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science, or equivalent.
- Accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent, along with evidence of continued professional development.
Registration & Compliance
- Registered with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or equivalent is desirable.
- Knowledge of echocardiography standards and guidelines.
- Knowledge of cardiology clinical pathways and governance.
- Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
