Are you a GP looking to diversify your portfolio, increase your earning potential, and deliver truly personalised care to your patients? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private GP near Bury St Edmunds to join a growing and forward-thinking private practice offering flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to build your own patient list.
This role is ideal for an NHS GP seeking additional sessions alongside their current role, someone looking to expand their portfolio career, or a commercially minded GP who would like greater influence over their earnings.
The Role
Working in a private setting allows you to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care with excellent continuity. You will build and manage your own patient list while providing a premium clinical service to patients who value accessibility and personalised care. You will be working independently, combining strong clinical skills with excellent patient experience and service delivery.
Sessions Available
- 3–7 sessions available
- Clinic days: Monday – Full Day
- Wednesday – Full Day
- Friday – Full Day
- Saturday or Sunday – Morning session
In the early stages while your patient list is developing, you may see a smaller number of patients per day (for example, 4 patients between 9am–5pm). For this reason, living locally is beneficial, allowing flexibility around appointments.
What Makes This Role Different
This is a smaller but growing private practice, meaning you will have the opportunity to be involved in elements of the patient journey that are typically handled by larger teams in NHS environments. You will receive a comprehensive induction covering the systems and processes used in private practice, including:
- Private medical billing
- Payment processing
- Pricing medical reports and requests
- Organising blood samples and investigations
- Using new IT systems
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a GP who:
- Is confident working independently
- Has strong clinical decision-making skills
- Is patient-focused with excellent customer service
- Is commercially aware or interested in the private healthcare model
- Is comfortable learning new systems and administrative processes
Remuneration
The practice offers a competitive and supportive earnings structure designed to help you grow your patient list:
- Base salary per session
- Percentage of generated income
- Private indemnity fully covered
As your patient list grows and becomes established, the pay model will be reviewed and adjusted accordingly.
