Practice Nurse – Permanent, 3–4 Days per Week
Location: Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham
About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join a well-regarded, supportive GP practice in Stockton-on-Tees on a permanent, part-time basis. We have worked closely with this practice for many years and consistently receive excellent feedback from clinicians we have placed there.
In this role, you’ll provide high-quality nursing care and play a key part in managing long-term conditions, previous Primary Care experience is essential, and you must be confident in the treatment and management of diabetes.
The practice actively supports further training and development to help you grow your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and health advice to patients in line with current clinical guidelines
- Run chronic disease management clinics, especially for diabetes care and reviews
- Carry out immunisations, wound care, cervical screening, and other general treatment room duties
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMIS Web
- Work collaboratively with GPs, HCAs, and the wider practice team
- Promote patient health education and self-care
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin
- Previous experience working in Primary Care as a Practice Nurse
- Confident and competent in diabetes care and management
- Excellent clinical, communication, and organisational skills
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
- Experience with EMIS Web is desirable but not essential
