About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join a supportive and welcoming Primary Care team. This is a permanent opportunity within a close-knit practice that is part of a wider group of GP surgeries who work collaboratively to improve both staff and patient experiences.
Having personally visited the practice, it is clear that pride, teamwork, and a strong sense of community are at the heart of what they do.
The successful candidate will play an integral role within the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care and supporting patients in the management of both acute and long-term conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension)
- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Cervical cytology (smears)
- Wound care and dressings
- Health screening and promotion
- Supporting the achievement of QOF targets and audits
- Contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the clinical team
Requirements
- NMC registered nurse with experience in Primary Care or Practice Nursing
- Competency in treatment room skills and chronic disease management
- Evidence of continued professional development
