Remote Pharmacy Technician

GP Surgery Experience Required

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a GP practice team on a remote basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacy technician with previous GP surgery experience to support our clinicians and patients in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

• Support medicines optimisation within the practice
• Process and reconcile repeat prescriptions
• Conduct medication reviews under clinical supervision
• Liaise with patients, GPs, and community pharmacies to resolve medication queries
• Assist with audits, medication safety, and prescribing compliance
• Ensure accurate record-keeping within S1 or EMIS systems
• Work within the scope of CPPE training and professional guidelines

Essential Requirements

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Completion of, or commitment to, relevant CPPE training
• Proven GP surgery experience (essential)
• Proficiency with S1 or EMIS clinical systems
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, remotely, and as part of a wider practice team

Desirable Skills

• Experience in medicines optimisation projects
• Knowledge of prescribing workflows in general practice
• Confidence in managing high volumes of repeat prescription requests
