Are you an organised, patient-focused professional looking to make a real impact in a busy GP practice? We’re currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a friendly and supportive team in Swindon, with an immediate start available on a Part time or Full time basis. They are ideally looking for a permanent role, but would consider Locum for the right person.

The Role: As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. You will have the opportunity to work in a well-run organised team where you will also have the opportunity to progress and upskill if so desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients in person and over the phone
  • Booking, amending, and managing appointments
  • Processing prescriptions and managing patient queries
  • Handling patient records using clinical systems (EMIS or SystmOne experience desirable)
  • Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident IT user, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne (preferred but not essential)

Pay & Hours:

  • Hourly rate: £12.25–£15.00 (dependent on experience)
  • Working days: Locum/Part - Time
  • Start date: Immediate
