A friendly and well organised GP Surgery in Abingdon is looking to recruit a full time Practice Nurse to join their supportive clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Practice Nurse with experience working in a GP surgery who is looking for a stable role within a welcoming and well run practice. Nurses are valued members of the team and are supported by experienced GPs, fellow nurses and administrative staff. The role offers a varied workload and the chance to further develop your skills within Primary Care while delivering high quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Chronic disease management including asthma, COPD and diabetes reviews
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Cervical cytology (desirable but not essential)
- Wound care and dressings
- NHS health checks
- Blood pressure monitoring and ECGs
- Phlebotomy
- Health promotion and patient education
- Supporting the wider clinical team with patient care
