Healthcare Assistant, Weekends Only | Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
£13.05 per hour | Saturdays and Sundays | Fixed term until April 2027

The role
You’ll work at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, supporting our weekend outpatient clinics across Dermatology, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology and Urology. Working alongside consultants, nurses and the clinic team, you’ll make sure every patient has a safe, welcoming and well organised visit.
Your day will include:
- Welcoming patients and preparing them for their appointments
- Supporting clinicians during consultations and procedures, including chaperoning
- Preparing, cleaning and restocking clinic rooms to strict infection control standards
- Recording patient information accurately on our IT systems
- Helping clinics run smoothly and on time
What you’ll need
- Experience in care or healthcare is welcome but not essential
- A genuine passion for patient care
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with patient information
- Confidence using IT systems
- Good communication skills and a calm, professional manner
- Availability every Saturday and Sunday
What we offer
- £13.05 per hour
- 16 hours per weekend
- Pro rata annual leave, equivalent to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays for a full-time employee
