We work in partnership with several NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home.

These include Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology Services, diagnosis and treatment of Dermatological conditions, Ophthalmology services and the provision of extended Minor surgery procedures.

Calling all Dermatologists!

We have an amazing opportunity for you to join as a Consultant or a Specialist within Dermatology for community services in South Yorkshire area. We will also consider consultants on a full or part time basis.

You will have 12 months of experience in undertaking dermatological procedures without supervision in the NHS.

About the role

  • Follow patients, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based care in line with NICE guidelines, British Association of Dermatologist protocols and business standard operating procedures.
  • Provide specialist advice to patients, families and carers and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Carry out General Dermatological procedures and provide guidance and advice.
  • Contribute to the service and referring GPs through developing and delivering education and training.
  • Contribute to the development of services.
  • Work collaboratively and attend meetings with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the cohesive management of patients.
  • Seeing surgical and follow up patients.

About you

  • MUST HAVE full GMC registration, MRCP or equivalent.A minimum of 12 Months’ experience undertaking dermatological procedures without supervision in the NHS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, can work within a team and independently.
  • Good time keeping skills to ensure the clinics run smoothly and on time.

*The position is subject to a successful disclosure at the appropriate level from Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and the provision of your right to work documentation.

What we offer

  • Hours 09:00am – 17:00pm
  • Monday to Sunday – Happy to consider any days and times you have available
  • Salary and benefits – dependent on experience.

Inclusions

  • Only patients registered with a GP Practice
  • Minor Surgical Procedures
  • Mild-moderate inflammatory skin disease in adults and children including Eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, urticaria etc.
  • Suspected allergic contact dermatitis (for assessment prior to consideration of patch testing – currently requiring external referral)
  • Acne, rosacea, hidradenitis suppurativa
  • Pigmentary disorders including vitiligo and melasma.
  • Common cutaneous infections including fungal skin and nail disease, viral warts etc.
  • Hair and nail disorders
  • Low risk BCCs on trunk and limbs in line with NICE skin cancer guidelines 2010
  • Benign skin lesions requiring surgical procedures.
  • Pre-malignant skin disorders such as actinic keratosis and Bowens disease
  • Cryotherapy treatment
