This role is key to ensuring a seamless patient booking experience while supporting the efficient delivery of services on-site. You will play an important role in improving patient pathways, supporting operational delivery, and contributing to projects that enhance service efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Role Summary
This is a site-based, non-clinical leadership role. You will lead the patient booking team to deliver a high standard of service, ensuring patient experience remains at the forefront of all activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the patient booking process on-site
- Lead, support, and develop team members through training and guidance
- Handle escalated booking queries, ensuring timely and professional resolution
- Produce daily booking reports and provide feedback to management
- Generate regular performance and activity reports
- Ensure clinic schedules are planned and utilised 3-4 weeks in advance
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in patient appointment booking, ideally within the NHS
- Experience within healthcare settings
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
Desirable
- Experience using EPIC systems
- Experience in Endoscopy is desirable
Education And Experience
- GCSEs or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a healthcare environment (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a team leadership or supervisory role (preferred)
