  • Perform mammography examinations following department protocols and radiologist orders to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Maintain daily QA, preventive maintenance scheduling, and ensure compliance with FDA guidelines for the mammography section; keep accreditation records up to date.
  • Verify exam orders, identify the patient with two identifiers, obtain informed consent, review medical history, and ensure prior studies are available before interpretation.
  • Document patient data and procedures in the electronic health record, manage charging for procedures, and provide patient education as needed.
  • Maintain radiation safety per ALARA principles; troubleshoot equipment and coordinate service with engineers as required; support workflow and cross‑train imaging staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer.
  • Two years of prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist; cross‑trained into other modalities (CT, MRI, DEXA) preferred; experience with PACS/RIS/HIS.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; successful background check; pre-employment drug screen; Employee Health clearance prior to starting.
