THEMIS are industry experts who have used our unique expertise in the healthcare litigation sector to build a highly specialised, disruptive, contractual healthcare defence scheme, capable of providing robust protection for doctors and hospitals against modern litigation challenges facing the healthcare profession.
This is a senior-level opportunity within THEMIS’s private clients team, designed for an experienced broker looking to play a pivotal role in shaping the growth of our business. You will leverage your knowledge of medical malpractice insurance (or wider specialty insurance lines) to build trusted relationships, manage complex cases, and drive business growth.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of high-value client accounts.
- Structuring, negotiating, and placing complex medical malpractice risks.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, providing guidance on coverage, risk, and claims.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the broker team.
- Leading client presentations and supporting business development initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and THEMIS’s internal governance standards.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in insurance broking, with a strong background in medical malpractice, healthcare, or other specialist liability lines.
Track record of successfully handling complex client accounts and placements.
Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to build trust at senior levels.
Sound knowledge of FCA requirements relating to insurance sales and servicing.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues.
Self-motivated and commercially minded, with the ability to contribute to strategic growth.
Eligible to work in the UK (without requiring a visa or sponsorship).
Senior-level role with autonomy and responsibility.
