Locum Practice Nurse (1–5 Days/Week)Â
Location: Northwich, CW9Â
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break) Job Type: Locum | Flexible Days
Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Practice Nurse to join our clients friendly GP surgery team in CW9. This flexible role offers between 1 to 5 days per week, making it ideal for nurses seeking variety and work-life balance.
The Practice uses EMIS and DOCMAN, so ideally the successful candidate will have a Smartcard that can be updated with the surgery details.
Key Responsibilities:Â
You’ll be working in a supportive environment with 15-minute appointments scheduled by our reception team based on patient needs.
The role includes:
- Management of COPD and Asthma patients
- Diabetes care, including foot checks
- Baby and travel vaccinations
- Cervical smears
- B12 injections
- Administration of Nebido, Prostap, Decapeptyl, and Zoladex
- Hypertension monitoring
- Delivery of Flu and COVID vaccinations
- Shingles, Pneumonia, and RSV vaccinations
- Liaising with patients and clinical staff to ensure high-quality care

- Registered Nurse with relevant qualifications
- Experience in a GP practice or similar clinical setting
- Familiarity with EMIS and DOCMAN preferred
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
