To carry out a Sitting Service and light housework in a service user’s own home. We cover the whole of Ayrshire and beyond with this service. These calls are carried out in blocks of hours for our clients. No personal care, moving or handling nor medication is involved with this service. Hours to be discussed with candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard, person‑centred support to clients at all times in a non‑judgmental or discriminatory manner.
- Offer a positive and friendly approach to clients in their own homes and respect their wishes with a "can‑do" attitude.
- Communicate with clients at all levels and problem‑solve to assist them with any concerns.
- Work on own initiative, being reliable and flexible to meet the needs of clients.
- Maintain written records and care plans, updating them where applicable.
- Interact and communicate with the people you support in a way that promotes dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
- Assist with basic meal preparation for the service users supported.
- Work as part of a team at all times and respect the service users’ homes.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the clients, whilst maintaining your own health and safety in accordance with our Health and Safety Regulations.
- Adhere to the regulatory bodies in Scotland governing our industry – Basic Disclosure Scotland – and continue relevant training as required by Healthcare Plus Recruitment Homecare Services Ltd.
