The Management Accountant plays a critical role in achieving financial excellence within HPL. Key responsibilities include, BUT not limited:

• To assist the Finance Manager / Head of Finance in the provision of a complete professional financial service to the service area.
• Delivering high-quality management accounting and business partnering services to HPL & the clients.
• Providing timely, accurate financial information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
• Provide monthly budget statements and financial reports analysing variances and trends in accordance with the reporting timetables.
• Assisting budget managers with financial information and recommendations for action.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Management Accountant's core responsibilities include:

Business Planning & Forecasting:
• Assisting in the production of integrated financial and business plans.
• Contributing to annual budget setting and financial planning.
• Identifying cost pressures, service developments, and cost improvements.
• Maintaining financial ledger and budget system reconciliations.

Accounting and Financial Reporting:
• Producing monthly budget statements and reports.
• Providing information for internal and external purposes.
• Ensuring financial documentation is accurate and updated.
• Managing accruals, pre-payments & adjustments
