We’re looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Delacy Gardens, Pontefract. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.

About the Role

  • The post is for 18.50 hours per week.
  • You’ll work on a 2-week rolling rota, including evening shifts: 16:43 - 23:00, weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply).

Your role will include:

  • Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes.
  • Promoting independence and person-centred care i.e. washing/dressing/bathing/toileting/meals & medication.
  • Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies.
  • Treating every person with dignity and respect.

  • Essential: GCSE Grades D–G in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English.
  • Desirable (but not required): Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

Don’t have the Level 2 qualification? No problem! We’ll provide full training and fund your qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
