We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant for our Ward team at Sancta Maria Hospital in Swansea. The role requires delivering adult health services, focusing on inpatient and outpatient care, and supporting a multidisciplinary team to provide high‑quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake delegated nursing tasks within agreed parameters set by Heads of Departments.
  • Work within clinical competencies for the area of speciality in accordance with HMT’s policies, procedures and values.
  • Provide basic nursing care, basic wound care, bladder/bowel care, moving and handling, skin and nutritional assessments, infection prevention and control, and safeguarding awareness.
  • Organise and prioritise own workload under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, demonstrating effective time‑management skills.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications and credit framework (QCF) or equivalent Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 equivalent to GCSE Maths and English.
  • Experience of care delivery including basic nursing care, basic wound care, bladder/bowel care, moving and handling, skin and nutritional assessments, infection control, and safeguarding awareness.
