Your Role at a Glance
Inspiring Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and supervise our fantastic nursing and care teams.
- Step up to manage the home dynamically in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Oversee smart, efficient staff rotas and digital platforms to keep the home running safely and smoothly.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and appraisals to help your team flourish.
Clinical Excellence & Innovation
- Ensure the highest standards of complex care, safe medication management, and clinical records.
- Drive pioneering initiatives like our Dementia Strategy, frailty prevention, and rehabilitation agendas in partnership with our Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Champion regulatory standards (CQC, DOLS, and Mental Capacity Assessments) to keep our environment safe and compliant.
Person-Centred Resident Care
- Conduct pre‑admission assessments and design bespoke, creative care plans.
- Safeguard resident well‑being, promoting dignity, privacy, and true personal choice.
- Build strong partnerships with external multi‑disciplinary teams (MDTs) and GPs.
What You Bring to the Team
Skills & Experience
- Independent & Organised:Able to confidently manage and carry out your workload with limited supervision, staying strictly within your scope of training. (Essential)
- Compassioning Care:A natural ability to handle resident health needs with extreme sensitivity and absolute confidentiality.
- Expert Communicator:Exceptional interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication to build strong relationships.
- Regulatory Knowledge:Deep understanding of the statutory and legal requirements associated with elderly care.
- Care Background:Previous experience working within a vibrant nursing and residential care setting.
Training & Qualifications
- Qualified Registered Nursewith an active, validNMC Registration. (Essential)
- Evidence ofPREP(Post-registration Education & Practice) to show your dedication to learning.
- A recognized qualification inLeadership & Management.
- Up‑to‑date training inManual Handling.
