We are seeking an experienced and creative Marketing & Communications Officer to join our People, Culture & Communications team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality marketing and communications activity across the Healthcare Management Trust (HMT), including our hospitals and care homes. The post holder will play a key role in enhancing our digital presence, delivering engaging content and supporting both internal and external communications strategies. The role will be remote with travel to our Durham office and sites as required.
Main Duties
- Deliver external social media activity across HMT, HMT Hospitals and HMT Care Homes
- Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of paid social media campaigns, including analytics and reporting
- Create engaging, high-quality content for use across digital platforms and marketing materials
- Provide graphic design support for campaigns, advertising and branded collateral
- Maintain and update HMT websites, ensuring content is accurate, current and aligned to brand
- Act as a key contact for communications and content gathering across multiple sites
- Support and deliver internal communications, including staff newsletters, updates and announcements
Your Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a marketing or communications role
- Experience of social media management and campaign delivery
- Strong graphic design skills, including use of Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
- Experience of website content management (ideally WordPress)
- Excellent written communication and content creation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Creative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of internal communications or staff engagement
- Experience within a healthcare or care home environment
- Marketing or communications qualification (or equivalent experience)
