The Home Magherafelt Manor is a beautiful and modern residential care and nursing home situated in Magherafelt, County Londonderry, providing 24-hour, professional and person-centred care for older people, including those living with dementia or in need of general nursing. The home has the capacity for up to 64 people, across several homely units, decorated and furnished to offer a safe and comfortable home-from-home living environment for residents to enjoy.
Magherafelt Manor has excellent amenities, including a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces, enabling residents to maintain their independence as much as is possible, in the safest possible environment. All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished, with the benefit of en-suite bathroom facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home.

The Role
The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents. We pride ourselves on being able to deliver excellent care to our residents; as a Registered Nurse you will support the management of shifts, ensuring the safety of all residents and our team. The role of Registered Nurse is always evolving and having a commitment to personal and professional development will ensure that you are able to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering person centred care to each resident
- Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
- To offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
- Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
- Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager
