The Role
The Kitchen Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, ensuring that residents receive high-quality meals and dining experiences. Working as part of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef, the role is about a lot more than preparing and serving meals. The Kitchen Assistant will support with ensuring the dietary needs of our residents are met in addition to contributing to a safe and positive working environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
- Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Undertakes any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.
