Overview
Bohill Care Home is a modern, purpose-built facility located just outside Coleraine Town Centre, surrounded by countryside. The home features 80 spacious single en-suite bedrooms across two floors, with gardens for residents to enjoy the outdoors. We offer specialised care across three units: Dementia Nursing, Dementia Residential, and Frail Elderly Nursing, focused on compassionate, person-centred support. With expansion plans underway, there are new career opportunities as the team grows.
The Role
The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team to ensure the smooth and safe operation of kitchens, contributing to high-quality, person-centred dining experiences for residents. Reporting to the Chef, the role involves more than cooking and serving meals; it includes helping meet residents\\\’ dietary needs and promoting a safe, positive working environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures that all catering stock and equipment are correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers meals and catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assists with the basic preparation of food items under direction.
- Ensures cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas complies with the company\\\’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, ensuring work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Undertakes other duties as reasonably required by the Chef or Cook.
