The Home
Bohill Care Home is a modern, purpose-built facility located just outside Coleraine Town Centre, surrounded by stunning countryside. Our home features 80 spacious single en-suite bedrooms spread across two floors, along with beautifully maintained gardens that provide a peaceful space for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We offer specialised care across three dedicated units: Dementia Nursing, Dementia Residential, and Frail Elderly Nursing, all focused on delivering compassionate, person-centred support. The Role
At Healthcare Ireland, our Housekeeper role is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Responsible for the environment of the Home, the Housekeeper leads the domestic and laundry teams in contributing to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times. The Housekeeper works closely with the Home Manager, care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where our residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring that rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value that we add to the lives of our residents.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform a variety of tasks throughout the Home, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning surfaces in resident rooms, communal areas and offices; adhering to cleaning and laundry schedules as required.
- Manage the domestic team to guarantee that all areas of the Home, including bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas and hallways, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management.
- Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule.
- Responsible for the storage of cleaning products, ensuring they meet COSHH regulations and all cleaning machinery and equipment are used properly and stored safely.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
