Join our award-winning team at Longfield Care Home, located on the outskirts of the village of Eglinton and just ten miles from the city of Derry. Longfield Care Home offers a welcoming environment with specialised care for residents across two units. We support 35 General Nursing residents in the Foyle and Faughan Units, alongside 11 Residential Dementia residents in the Moore Suite. The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents. We pride ourselves on being able to deliver excellent care to our residents; as a Registered Nurse, you will support the management of shifts, ensuring the safety of all residents and our team. The role of Registered Nurse is always evolving, and having a commitment to personal and professional development will ensure that you are able to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering person-centred care to each resident
  • Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
  • Offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
  • Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
  • Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager
