Make a Real Difference at Bohill Bungalows. Located just outside Coleraine in a peaceful rural setting, Bohill Bungalows is a specialist care facility dedicated to supporting individuals with complex needs. As a leading provider of highly specialised care, we support residents living with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, neuro-degenerative conditions, learning disabilities, and complex epilepsy. Opened in 2012, the facility comprises three purpose-built, six-bedroom bungalows: one designed specifically for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and two tailored for those with learning disabilities. Each bungalow provides a homely and supportive environment, where residents receive personalised care and rehabilitation. At Bohill Bungalows, we work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each resident receives the highest standard of care within a home-like setting. The Role
As a Driver at Bohill Bungalows, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of residents to and from various locations, including medical appointments, social activities, and other outings. You will play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for the individuals in our care, providing them with the opportunity to engage with their community while promoting their independence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to and from appointments, activities, and outings, ensuring a comfortable and secure journey.
- Maintain a schedule for pick-ups and drop-offs, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order at all times.
- Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Follow all road safety and traffic regulations, ensuring the well-being of residents and yourself.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly to the relevant team members.
- Ensure all residents are seated and properly secured in the vehicle using the necessary safety equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate transportation schedules and optimise vehicle use.
- Assist in the delivery and collection of supplies as needed.
- Be attentive to the specific needs of each resident, ensuring they feel comfortable and respected during transportation.
