The Home Rose Court is a professional, person‑centred care and nursing home situated in Ballymena. This spacious home provides a range of specialist care services for older people, including residential, dementia and general nursing. We are proud of our high standards and values in providing care with the utmost dignity and respect. We continuously strive to maintain a safe, comfortable and homely environment and a calm and restful atmosphere for our residents at Rose Court.
Our kind and compassionate care teams not only provide 24‑hour care, they also share their good company, companionship and assistance whenever required, to ensure that residents feel listened to and supported, whatever their needs and wishes may be. The light and spacious, private bedrooms are beautifully furnished, all with en‑suite facilities. The home, which is designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment, has excellent amenities, including a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces within which residents can relax and socialise. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home.
As a Care Assistant with Kathryn Homes, you will join a dedicated team united by a profound desire to positively impact the lives of our residents. We’re seeking Care Assistants who are wholeheartedly devoted to supporting our residents in embracing life to the fullest, promoting independence within a kind and compassionate setting. At Kathryn Homes, our residents and Care Assistants engage in daily moments filled with joy, laughter, and purposeful activities that bring meaning to their lives. We do not require our Care Assistants to have experience although it is beneficial. We are seeking individuals whose empathy and warm‑hearted approach stand out. Successful Care Assistants will have a positive, can‑do attitude and excellent communication skills. Each day will bring something new, making for a diverse yet incredibly rewarding role. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances. We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
Required Criteria
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A good standard of oral and written English.
- A non‑judgemental approach to others.
- Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high‑quality care to our residents.
- Respectful to not only residents but the values and beliefs of other team members.
Desired Criteria
- Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
