Overview

Bradley Manor Care Home, established in 2015, is part of the Healthcare Ireland Group. We provide compassionate, person-centred care to 79 residents across three specialist units: Residential Dementia, Dementia Nursing, and General/Frail Elderly Nursing. We offer a peaceful environment with views over Belfast, focused on dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

The Role

You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living to ensure residents’ wellbeing and comfort. You will also provide emotional support and companionship, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting residents’ rights and preferences.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
  • Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
  • Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents’ well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Follow care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • A good standard of oral and written English.

  • Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
  • Respectful to residents and the values and beliefs of other team members.

Desired Criteria

  • Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
