Glenabbey Manor is a friendly, safe and welcoming residential and dementia care home, with provision for up to 76 residents. The modern accommodation at Glenabbey Manor is spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed, with easy accessibility enabling residents to move around safely. Our private bedroom spaces are fully furnished, with a flat screen TV and en‑suite shower room as standard. Residents may bring their own home accessories and furniture to personalise their space and make it their home.
The General Assistant role at Kathryn Homes is a blended role, working with the Housekeeping and Kitchen team to assist with the day‑to‑day operations of the Home. The General Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, housekeeping and laundry functions, ensuring that residents receive high‑quality meals and have a clean environment. The role is essential in the wellbeing of our residents through the provision of high‑quality, person‑centred surroundings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the expected standards are achieved throughout the home
- Cover domestic, kitchen and laundry duties; training in all 3 areas provided
- Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
- Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
- Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager
