Known for its homely and professional environment, the home is led by an experienced Manager with over two decades of service in the care sector.
Our dedicated team is proud to offer high-quality Nursing Care, with specialist support in Palliative Care, End of Life Care, and Physical Disability Care services that are highly respected and valued within the local community.
With the completion of our brand-new extension, Slemish Nursing Home will soon accommodate up to 63 residents, providing even more opportunities to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.

The Role You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported.
As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents.
As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents.
About The Role Main Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.
