Join the Team at Glenabbey Manor, a friendly, safe and welcoming residential and dementia care home, with provision for up to 76 residents. Our residents are encouraged to enjoy as much of an independent lifestyle as possible, with the assurance of a compassionate, kind and professional care team, always on hand to support individuals' daily care needs and wishes. The modern accommodation at Glenabbey Manor is spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed, with easy accessibility enabling residents to move around safely. Our private bedrooms are fully furnished, with a flat screen TV and en-suite shower room as standard. Residents may bring their own home accessories and furniture to personalise their space.

As a Care Assistant with Kathryn Homes, you'll join a dedicated team united by a profound desire to positively impact the lives of our residents. We're seeking Care Assistants who are devoted to supporting our residents in embracing life to the fullest, promoting independence within a kind and compassionate setting.

Your commitment to enhancing the well-being and happiness of those in our care is truly valued and appreciated. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
  • Helping residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
  • Supporting the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Following care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.

A good standard of oral and written English and excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care to our residents are essential. Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential. Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
