Do you have a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of older residents with a minimum of 2 years experience in the UK in care home settings? The Home Carlingford Lodge Care Home is situated in the beautiful port town of Warrenpoint, located at the head of Carlingford Lough, just five miles south from the city of Newry. It provides nursing care for 58 residents over 3 Units: General Nursing, Dementia Nursing and a General Residential.

The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering person centred care to each resident
  • Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
  • To offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
  • Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
  • Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager
