The Home Meadow View is a beautiful, modern care home in Enniskillen, providing professional and compassionate care for up to 54 older people, including those living with dementia. The Role

The Kitchen Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, ensuring that residents receive high-quality meals and dining experiences. The role is essential to the wellbeing of our residents through the provision of high-quality, person-centred dining experiences. Working as part of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef, the role is about a lot more than preparing and serving meals; the Kitchen Assistant will support with ensuring the dietary needs of our residents are met in addition to contributing to a safe and positive working environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
  • Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
  • Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
  • Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.
