The Home Magherafelt Manor is a beautiful and modern residential care and nursing home situated in Magherafelt, County Londonderry, providing 24-hour, professional and person-centred care for older people, including those living with dementia or in need of general nursing. Our teams are expertly trained to support the needs and wishes of each individual, and we are proud of the wonderful and calm atmosphere we have created for everybody to enjoy.
The home has the capacity for up to 64 people, across several homely units, decorated and furnished to offer a safe and comfortable home-from-home living environment for residents to enjoy. Magherafelt Manor has excellent amenities, including a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces, enabling residents to maintain their independence as much as possible, in the safest possible environment. All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished, with the benefit of en-suite bathroom facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home.
We are dedicated to providing quality care for the residents living with dementia and for those who are cared for in their rooms; our whole team approach to wellbeing means that everyone feels part of our lovely, welcoming community.
As a Domestic Assistant, you will be a member of the support services team. Your main responsibilities will be to maintain the cleanliness of specific areas within the care home to the highest standards. This includes carrying out housekeeping duties efficiently and in a timely manner. Your daily tasks may involve working in the laundry, ensuring residents' rooms are clean and organised, and making beds when necessary.

We are looking for a skilled Domestic Assistant who can confidently maintain high standards of work. It's important for our Domestic Assistants to be proactive, flexible, and a great team player. We also value a willingness to learn and grow, as you will need to participate in training activities to enhance your skills and knowledge for a safe and efficient performance in your role.
