Braefield Nursing Home is a welcoming, purpose-built facility with 56 beds across three specialised units. We proudly provide expert care tailored to the unique needs of our residents, registered with RQIA to support:
- 18 individuals with nursing and mental health needs
- 17 individuals with physical disabilities requiring nursing care
- 21 individuals with dementia nursing needs
Our dedicated team delivers compassionate, person-centred care across the areas of Mental Health Nursing, Frail and Elderly Nursing, and Dementia Nursing. The Role
You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents. As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
- Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
- Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
- Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Desired Criteria
- Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
