The Home Orchard Lodge is a wonderfully positioned, purpose-built residential care and nursing home in Armagh. Our home benefits from views of the two local cathedrals and the surrounding city from most of the bedrooms, main lounges and all dining rooms. Here at Orchard Lodge, we offer professional, person-centred residential and nursing care, as well as specialist care for those living with dementia. We are also registered to provide care for young people with physical disabilities. All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished, with the benefit of en-suite facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home. Our facilities are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the assistance of 24 hour care. Our kind and compassionate care and nursing teams are fully trained to provide reassuring, compassionate support, companionship and comfort, with the utmost dignity and respect, so that all residents feel safe and secure living in our lovely community.
The Role
At Healthcare Ireland we pride ourselves on the quality of our resident care, which begins with our clinical standards. The Clinical Lead is a nursing position, responsible for the continuous improvement of person-centred care in our Homes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practice. This is a leadership role, working closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and care team to provide guidance and support on the clinical requirements of the Home. 38.5 Hours contract.
The Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical support to qualified nurses.
- Provide guidance and support around person-centred care planning and documentation.
- Provide guidance and support around the management of medicines within the home.
- Assess competency of qualified Nurses and develop individual plans.
- Conduct audits within the services where required and provide detailed feedback.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
