Do you have a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of older residents? The Home Antrim Care Home, situated in the local countryside at Dunsilly, is perfectly located just outside Antrim Town. The Home offers general Nursing care but also includes a specialist Intermediary Care unit where people can come directly from hospital when they are not quite ready for home. Services such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy can then be continued in readiness for home. Additionally, there is a bespoke unit which is carefully designed and with staff who are trained to meet the particular needs of people living with dementia.

The Role
This role is twilight 5pm-11pm two nights per week. You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
- Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
- Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
- Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Desired Criteria
- Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
