Nurse – Alexandra Care Home
£21.20 per hour • Bank nights available
Are you a naturally caring person and want to help make a difference in people’s lives?
We are looking for a compassionate nurse to join our nursing team at Alexandra Care Home in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The home provides residential care, nursing care, care for under 65s and dementia care with a focus on excellent dining experiences and accommodating dietary requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and care to residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs
- Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication
- Support with new admissions and discharges of residents
- Weekly GP rounds
- Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable
- Coaching, supporting and developing the care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times
Qualifications
Current NMC registration is essential. You should have up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLS is also required.
You will receive a thorough induction and training programme to further develop your skills, along with support from a dedicated clinical training team.
