Background

Healthcare Central London is an established CQC-registered NHS provider, delivering care for over five years. We provide NHS-funded ADHD assessment and treatment for adults through the Right to Choose pathway.

About our ADHD Service

Healthcare Central London is developing a high-quality ADHD assessment service focused on clinical rigour, consistency, and patient‑centred care. We are not focused on high‑volume assessment models and are building a service where clinicians are supported to deliver thorough, evidence‑based assessments and produce clinically robust reports.

Our approach includes:

  • Comprehensive developmental history‑taking
  • Routine use of collateral information
  • Clear, evidence‑based diagnostic rationale
  • Reports that are individually tailored and clinically defensible
  • All assessment reports are subject to internal quality assurance and are expected to meet a defined clinical standard.

Our mission is to be a best‑in‑class service recognised by both patients and referring clinicians for our transparent and high‑quality care.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced senior clinician to join our growing team, delivering remote Adult ADHD assessments and prescribing. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding access to high‑quality ADHD care while working within a supportive and well‑structured clinical environment.

You will conduct comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults, produce clear and detailed diagnostic reports, and provide compassionate feedback to patients. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical network dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and patient‑centred care.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering remote ADHD diagnostic assessments for adult patients
  • Conducting structured clinical interviews and applying recognised diagnostic tools
  • Evaluating symptoms and analysing assessment results
  • Producing high‑quality, evidence‑based diagnostic reports
  • Providing clear and empathetic feedback to patients and, where appropriate, families
  • Prescribing treatment in line with clinical guidelines (if appropriately qualified)
  • Collaborating with a wider multidisciplinary team to ensure best practice
  • Using technology, including AI‑supported transcription tools, to streamline documentation
  • Helping to drive quality auditing processes

What we offer

This role is suited to clinicians who value quality, consistency, and working within a structured clinical environment. We offer:

  • A fully hybrid or remote role with flexibility
  • A stable employed position within a growing service
  • Regular clinical supervision and MDT discussion
  • A clear assessment framework and defined report standards
  • Use of digital tools, including AI‑supported scribing, to reduce administrative burden
  • A well‑resourced operational team to support the end‑to‑end patient journey
  • A locally developed patient portal, enabling patients to track their progress and communicate with the service
  • Opportunity to contribute to service development
  • A culture that values clinical autonomy, expertise, and professional judgement

At Healthcare Central London (HCL), we are committed to expanding access to ADHD diagnosis while maintaining the highest clinical standards. We believe outstanding care is delivered when clinicians are supported, trusted, and able to focus on what they do best.

We are looking for a confident and experienced ADHD assessor who is comfortable working remotely and using digital systems to support efficient, high‑quality care.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified healthcare professional (e.g. Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Mental Health Nurse)
  • Current professional registration with relevant regulatory body
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting Adult ADHD diagnostic assessments
  • Strong knowledge of ADHD symptoms, diagnostic criteria, and assessment tools
  • Experience delivering remote assessments
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Confidence using digital tools and systems
  • Experience in prescribing for ADHD (where professionally appropriate)
