Key Responsibilities & Competencies
- Achievement of company sales, profit margin and product targets for the area.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Cardiac & Cardiology products and procedures, including product range, technical specifications, prices, benefits, clinical applications and sales strategies.
- Complete QBR objectives as agreed with the Business Manager.
- Presentation of Cardiac & Cardiology products and services to clinicians, theatre managers and nursing staff.
- Education of customers and team members on product features, benefits, handling, new technologies and techniques.
- Development of territory plans to achieve sales and promotional targets.
- Maintenance and reporting of daily sales activity, account records, expenses and other administrative duties.
- Creation and maintenance of a business plan to maximise sales opportunities in the territory.
- Review of territory performance with the manager and preparation of monthly reports.
- Scanning for and reporting on competitor activity in the territory.
- Promotion of and support for nurse study days, exhibitions and workshops.
- Ongoing self‐development to enhance product knowledge and training implementation.
- Professional appearance and appropriate attire for all work areas.
- Regular communication with the Business Manager and participation in conference calls and sales meetings.
- Assistance with marketing, research and product launches for Cardiac & Cardiology products.
- Understanding of financial operations, purchasing and funding practices of NHS clients.
- Influence, develop and negotiate with financial representatives to close sales within profit margins.
- Effective use of product literature and presentations to stakeholders.
- Demonstration of relevant computer applications, communication tools and sales/HR administrative functions, e.g. PowerBI, SAP Concur, HR Locker.
Key Requirements
- Full driver's licence.
- Strong sales history in medical device sales, preferably in Cardiac & Cardiology.
- Sales and territory analysis, budget management and presentation skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
- Excellent written, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
