We are looking for a Paramedic Practitioner to join our established team of two full‑time paramedics across the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and Cranbrook Primary Care Network. You will work across 11 general practices alongside a multi‑disciplinary team. Your role will support population health management through telephone triage, treatment of minor ailments and injuries, medicines supply via patient group directions, and home visits supporting the Enhanced Health in Care Homes Service.
Main duties of the job
- Work autonomously alongside GP practices, acute care teams and within the community at an advanced level of practice.
- Use enhanced clinical assessment and treatment skills to provide first contact for patients presenting with undiagnosed problems, supporting rapid assessment of same‑day presentations.
- Act as the key interface between general practice and community services such as care homes, social services and community nursing teams.
- Deliver high standard of patient care as a paramedic in general practice, using advanced autonomous clinical skills and in‑depth theoretical knowledge.
- Manage a clinical caseload, dealing with presenting patient needs in a primary care setting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of triage policy for the practice, act as Resuscitation Officer, enhance triage services, and provide clinical leadership.
- Manage own clinical workload, respond effectively to patient needs, ensure patient choice and ease of access to services.
- Mentor and support staff in developing and maintaining emergency and urgent care clinical skills.
