Personal/Home Care Assistant / Carer needed to provide care for my wife. I am bed bound following a stroke, can only move my head, have almost no communication and am PEG fed. My current care is provided by a care agency and my husband.
General responsibilities of a PA include:
- Some personal care
- Hand washing
- Hair washing
- Providing company
You will receive:
- A rate of pay of up to £13.89 per hour (which will be reviewed annually)
- A pension if eligible
- 5.6 weeks per year pro rata annual leave
- Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
Hours Available:
- There are 2 part time roles available, which can be combined for the right candidate
- 10 hours per week usually working 6:45am–8:45am Monday to Friday
- 17.5 hours per week usually working 12:00pm–3:30pm Monday to Friday
- Or 27.5 hours per week working the above
- There is the opportunity to work additional hours on occasions in relation to holidays and sickness
What’s Required:
- Provide assistance with some personal care, general domestic duties, hand and hair washing
- Flexibility in working hours essential
- Some weekend work appreciated
- Daily support with use and care of a suction machine is required occasionally. Training will be provided
- An enhanced DBS check, the cost will be met by the employer
