I am looking for a Personal Assistant / Carer to join my son's support team. This will include at home support and in the community to further his independence.
My son is 7 years old (turning 8 in the summer of 2026), has a brain injury, learning disability, is non-speaking, tube fed and registered blind but he does have some vision. He is a sociable little boy that always has a smile on his face. He loves Mr Tumble, bowling, swimming, floor play and running around in his walking frame. He uses a wheelchair, standing frame and walking frame on a daily basis. Everyone that meets him adores him!
This role will include supporting him in all activities, including:
- play
- communication
- assisting in and out of equipment
- personal care
- oral/nasal suctioning
- administering feeds and medication
You will receive:
- £12.71 per hour during your probation period, then up to £15.00 per hour
- A pension if eligible
- 5.6 weeks of annual leave
