About the role:

We have a vacancy for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to work within the Salford Quays laboratory at TDL Manchester on a full time, permanent basis. Duties will include rotation through the laboratory performing tasks of analyser loading and maintenance, troubleshooting of analysis, and general support of laboratory functions. The successful candidate will perform routine preparation and tests, including basic analytical processes, accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a qualified BMS and bring any unusual test requests or results to the attention of the appropriate member of staff. The role will be 37.5 hours per week over 24/7 period.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform analyser loading and maintenance tasks and troubleshoot analysis as required.
  • Carry out routine preparation and tests, including basic analytical processes, under supervision of a qualified BMS.
  • Bring any unusual test requests or results to the attention of the appropriate staff member.
  • Rotate through the laboratory and support general laboratory functions.
