About the role: An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Multi-disciplined Biomedical Scientist (BMS) in our newly equipped laboratory at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. The successful candidate will join our team of dedicated biomedical scientists and support staff in delivering a high-quality pathology service. The role involves:

  • Monitoring workload, participating in all aspects of diagnostic laboratory work through analysis and authorisation of results.
  • Assisting with daily laboratory duties, supervision and training of less experienced staff, and development of the service.
  • Supporting and contributing to the team’s Quality Management System by participating in audits, change control, incidents and CAPA.

The ideal candidate will be committed to service excellence and have a genuine desire for continued personal and professional development. Candidates should have a suitable approved undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science (or equivalent) and be registered with the HCPC. The laboratory operates a 24/7 service, so the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all shifts required to cover this timeframe.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Suitable approved undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registered.
