About the role: The Haematology Department at Health Services Laboratories requires an experienced Biomedical Scientist (9 months fixedâterm) to process specimens, ensure quality standards, and maintain workflow.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing blood samples and performing investigations in accordance with GMP and SOPs.
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results, including manual work and special requests.
- Dealing with urgent and specialised specimens and coordinating with laboratory manager.
- Maintaining sample integrity and data entry in the computer system.
Qualifications:
- IBMSâaccredited Biomedical Sciences degree or equivalent.
- Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
- Experience in haematology laboratory work, preferably with GMP.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
- DBS check required as standard.
