Location: Cleveland Clinic, London, SW1X 7HY. Contract: Fixed Term, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: Up to £34,030.08 per annum, DOE.

About the role

An experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant will join the Pathology TDL Cleveland Clinic, working night shift. The role is a 1 year fixed term position. The laboratory provides 24‑hour service and offers routine testing in haematology, biochemistry, blood transfusion and PCR testing for Covid‑19 and MRSA. You will participate in the out‑of‑hours rota alongside a qualified BMS. Full training will be provided in‑house and you will join the rota upon completion of training and all relevant competency assessments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in out‑of‑hours roster (weekdays and weekends, shifts 2000‑0900).
• Perform routine laboratory tests in haematology, biochemistry, blood transfusion, and PCR for Covid‑19 and MRSA.
• Support diagnostic services, including troubleshooting, peer auditing, and training sessions within the TDL regional labs group.
• Assist in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant (prior experience in a similar laboratory setting).
• Valid competency in haematology, biochemistry, and PCR testing preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts (2000‑0900).
