About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist in our busy Biochemistry Department, part of the Blood Sciences Laboratory at The Halo Building in Central London. This is a fixed-term post covering maternity leave and is an excellent chance to experience and work in our comprehensive Automated Blood Science department.
The main analysers in the laboratory are Roche Cobas 8000, Abbott Alinity, Tosoh G11, Diasorin Liason, OC-Sensor Pledia, Sysmex, Sebia, Bioplex and Phadia. Interested candidates must be HCPC registered and expected to demonstrate experience in a wide variety of clinical biochemistry techniques. Candidates with less experience and newly registered (HCPC) candidates will also be considered.
Working hours are 37.5 per week and the successful candidate would participate in a shift pattern ranging between 08:00 to 21:00, Monday to Sunday. You will need to be self-motivated, innovative, flexible, reliable and have good interpersonal skills as well as having the ability to use your own initiative and take responsibility for your own work.
